Try using the server's IP instead of name, navigate to the software folder, and drag and drop the Home Server Connector Software folder to your desktop. Install, and hopefully you'll be good to go.

My server was working before I upgraded my PC to Windows 7. After upgrading, I cannot connect using the WHS Connector.
I can connect to my server via http://servername:55000/ but when i try to install the connector software (by running the Download Now) i get the Home Server Not found message.
I can see the my server on the network. I can even see the shared files on the server using Windows Explorer. When i go to the "Software/Home Server Connector Softare" directory on the server and click setup.exe, it gives me the same message - "Server not found"
I have enabled UPnP on my router.
My server name has been changed on initial installation. So in both cases above i manually type my server's name into the "Find my home server manuallly" option and it gives me a "A Network error has occurred" message box.
