Red staus light came on. When I type in the "correct" server password, it keeps telling me that it is the wrong password (I know the password is correct) I attempted to start a server recovery, but the server recovery disc wll not auto start (disc drive is set for auto play) When I tried to find the file on the server recovery disc, it does not have a recovery exe. file I also attempted a reinstall but it stops at the connector screen and asks for the password, hence why I am here. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Are you using a USER password or the ADMINISTRATOR password? Should be the Administrator password.

I have tried my admin password and user password - it will not take either of them. I know they are correct because I stored them in a file and checked them - and they are common to me. Is it possible a virus somehow got in?

Sorry so long getting back - I was out of town. No luck - I have Vista basic and it does not have the "secpol.msc" needed to make the changes - Any ideas on a backdoor method to get the same results?
