If you have an HP MediaSmart server and wish to get your own domain name, this will show you how to register the domain name with TZO.COM.

STEP 1 - Start the Windows Home Server console on one of your PC’s - Start the Windows Home Server console and select MODIFY under REMOTE ACCESS and then click the SETUP button as shown in the screenshot below. If your domain name is already setup and you wish to switch to a new domain name using TZO, click UNCONFIGURE and then SETUP.

STEP 2 - Selecting a TZO.COM Custom Domain Name - In the drop down box shown below, select the TZO.COM Custom Domain Name and then click NEXT

STEP 3 - Selecting a TZO.COM Custom Domain Name - Read the information presented and then click NEXT

STEP 4 - Selecting a TZO.COM Custom Domain Name - Since we are registering a new domain name, we selected PURCHASE A NEW CUSTOM DOMAIN. If you already have a domain name registered elsewhere, you can select transfer and follow the instructions. In this tutorial, we show you how to register a NEW DOMAIN name. Once you make your selection, click NEXT

STEP 5 - Enter your contact information for your Custom Domain Name - Since we are registering a new domain name you need to enter some contact information so TZO can contact you for expiration notices and to send your reciept. Enter your information and click NEXT

STEP 6 - Selecting your Domain Name - Enter in your choice for you NEW DOMAIN name. DO NOT ENTER in the WWW - TZO will do this for you automatically. Once you make your selection, click NEXT

STEP 7 - Completing the TZO.COM Custom Domain Name Registration - Your new domain name is now regsitered. We selected a domain name “BROADBANDSERVER.NET” for our domain name as shown below. Your IP address will also show up below the domain name. You now must use your credit card to purchase the domain name registration and select other options such as WHOIS Privacy to protect your information from domain scams, SPAM, etc. . Click PURCHASE and this will launch the browser and load up the TZO Domain wizard to complete your purchase.

STEP 8 - Purchasing your TZO.COM Custom Domain Name - You will now be launched into the TZO ordering wizard. The first screen shows the domain name you wish to order. Confirm that your domain name is correct and then click the NEXT button in the lower right corner.
