However, now my MediaSmart Control Console can no longer see my server. How do I tell the Control Console to look at a certain network? Any ideas? I have an account on the WHS from where I copied one album to test with. I placed the album in the musicfolder. iTunes-server is enabled and iTunes finds my server but no songs on it. The album is in .wav so it should be ok. I've set the Music catalog in WHS to be "public" What can I do next? (I hope no noobs are bying this cause it's not very easy to set up) I also wan't to know how to get cover art on the albums stored on the server for iTunes-use. Thanks. Automatic backups have run smoothly. Files have moved. Musinc sharing great. Problem is this: I have set up a folder for another computer in the house and have given the other computer full permission to the folder, but I cannot access the folder from the other computer. Have installed the software on the other computer as instructed. I get the error on the folder that the folder is available, but the computer that is logged on cannot access the folder. I'm new to servers and stumped. nothing I try will get the other computer access to the folder I set up for it. Setup went well. All PC functions seem to be working quite well, including backups. I have 3 Macs and began the process of setting up a Mac share to backup those machines using Time Machine. I ran into some problems with one of the Macs, so I decided to start over. I deleted the Mac share I had created so that I could recreate with the right user access settings. Now, I can not create a new share with that same (once used) name of "Mac". On the "adding the shared folder" window, I get the big red X next to the "Adding the shared folder" step. I was able to create a share that I call "temp", delete it and recreate it with no problems, but not the Mac folder. Also did create a Mac1 and tried to rename that share back to Mac, it also failed. I get a message that says "The shared folder was not renamed because it is being used by one or more users. Try to reuse the folder again when it is not being used." It will let me rename any share to... I just upgraded 3 home computers to Win 7 x64. I loaded the HP and connector software and the Control Center and Shared Folders landed on the desktops. Now, when a bring up the "computer" window from the pearl, I get a list of items on the left with a standard window on the right and an address bar on top. On the left at the bottom is a Network group. Clicking on this group shows me the two other computers but no server. I can manually get to the server from the top address bar but not from the Network group. Clicking the Network group link sends all of my network items to the main window and again the only "Computers" listed are the two other Win 7 computers and no server. However, when I open the server folder on the desktop, I immediately see the shared folders on the server and on the lower right under the Network group, I now see the server name. But clicking on the Network group the server is still not listed... I'd like it in general, but specifically, at the moment, through wordpress. I have the php, sql, and wordpress addins installed and working, but can't get wordpress to send out mail. Seems like an email server addin is overkill but is that what i need to do? or through php? or just set up outlook express? Not sure what I need to do. Any help is greatly appreciated! Said update 2.5 needed to be installed. Clicked ok and got a progress window for about 30 seconds. Window went away and got the Server Console window. Cursor has an hour glass and can't do anything. I assume the software is updating but have no way of telling since the progress window is gone. Anyone have any suggestions?
