WM7 + Transcode360

Has anyone gotten Transcode360 to work with the x280n in VMC? in WMC? I just recently started messing about with W7 and discovered that in Microsoft's typical reverse logic it implemented fast transcoding in W7 and hence video streamed to the x280n in extender mode is transcoded and transcoded quite poorly with no apparent way to turn it off or adjust it. What I am hoping to be able to do is transcode (I abhore transcoding) using 360 and that will leap frog the Microsoft transcoder.

PS3 doesn't see MP4's anymore

I must of done something wrong but I have no idea what it was. I was/am having trouble getting "converter" convert home movies I had on DVD so I thought maybe my "converted" folder was too full or something so I moved my DVD files that I still wanted converted to a folder "to be converted" set the machine to only convert things in that folder then I emptied out my "converted" folder putting the small/low resolution files in a folder "for my iPod" and putting the high resolution MP4's in the "Video" folder along with an old MPG file from my TV tuner. When I go to the PS3 and look at video's only the MPG file shows up and non of the MP4's. What gives? The PS3 saw the MP4's when they were in the "converted" folder! On top of this I still can't get my converter to work anymore. Any suggestions? Thanks!

What can I use to Stream the MediaSmart's Media Files?

I finally finished setting up the mediasmart with 4 1TB HD. Now I have all my 1.5TB files transferred back on, but I have nothing to watch or view it on my TV. I want to be able to view my ripped DVDs in full DVD menu format and be able to stream Media Malls Playon! Mp3s and Pictures are a given, I guess. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Hello all, glad to be part of this site. My media collector status window states that it has only collected 1 photo, no music and no videos. I have over 5000 pictures, 2000 songs on the server. Why the negative display in the collector status window? Thanks in advance for the help.

WHS converted DVD files won't play on xbox 360

I have My Movies on my WHS where I have movies stored, as well as them converted using HP video converter. I can access My Movies from my xbox 360 and it shows all the movies, with cover art, but when i try to play a movie, I get a message that the movie is a unsupported video format. I thought the HP video converter, converts DVD's (commercial) to a supported format by the xbox (mp4)? If this is correct, then what's the issue? Thanks

Problems with x280n in Media Center mode

So I ended up ripping all my movies with the .264 codec in an avi container with AC3 sound. Most of my TV shows are in a DIVX/XVID flavor. I use Media Browser in Windows 7 Media Center. Here is my problem. The movies will not have surround sound unless I have Transcode360 turned on. If I have Transcode360 turned on, then my TV shows will end early and never play all the way through on the first try (although play fine the 2nd time). With Transcode360 off, not only do the movies not have 5.1, but at some point a ffdshow popup will come on the screen and go away after about 5 seconds. Then the movie will stop. Any suggestions for these errors? I also use my XBOX360 as an extender and everything plays fine Transcode360 on or off. The only problem I have with using the XBOX is that it is painfully slow. So can someone either help me with the x280n or fix the speed on my XBOX?
