Categories: Computers and Laptops
about a month ago my media collector stopped copying files to the server. I looked at the event log on my client laptop (windows 7) and the mediasmart server itself. The onlything I could see were entries like these in the client applicaiton log:
Exception while uploading/notifying file C:\Users\hjs\Pictures\0204BeeBD-GracePlay\p2070003.jpg : System.Threading.ThreadAbortException: Thread was being aborted. at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.SetException(Exception exception) at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.SubmitRequest(Boolean async) at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.GetRequestStream() at FTPLibrary.MSSFTPClient.UploadFile(String filePath, String destFileName) at MediaCollectorClient.WorkQueue.ProcessFileUpload(ServerCommandEventArgs args)
In each case the picture is there and was previously uloaded to the server. i can see the same exception for the same picture over and over.
I have tried to reset the media DB and restarting the server. I also tried un-installing and re-installing the client whs software.
any suggestions?
Thanks.

Well, I got impatient and re-installed the server OS (NOT, the factory reset choice). That took a while but, now everything works fine.
