I have over 400 videos on my Mediasmart ex470 and it took a while for them to show up.I also changed the setting in "settingd file sources" to scan the directory houly. I copy several videos a week and this insures they will be there when I look for them.

I just got myself a Boxee and connected it to my TV. I have activated Media Sharing on my EX470 for photos, music and videos. However, I still can't see the files on the Boxee. I've been able to cpnnect to the server and add the folders for photos, music and video, but I can't look at a photo, music doesn't play and the videos show as 0 kb of size.
Anyone got any experience of WHS's and Boxee that can lend a hand?

Ah, nice, thanx. Haven't had the Boxee on since I installed it, but I'm gonna take a look at it later tonight to se if it has listed all the files propelry.
I will probably be back with more questions for you... ;)

Right, so, the music, videos and photos still don't show up. In the list with videos, they show up, but they're just 0 kb and won't show/play.
Haw did you connect to the Boxee? I used upnp, but is there some other way? I mean, if everything is correctly set, it should play mp3:s, wmv, mpg and so on, and sho jpg, should'nt it??

yeah I am having trouble with this. Boxee says I cannot even access the shared video folder on the server (EX490). I have tried upnp and windows file sharing to access via boxee but no go...
anyone know the settings on EX490 and boxee?

Try it again, I think there is something wroth with the way you use it.
