Hello

I have the EX490 with Twonkie Media Server and I installed iTunes 9 on top.

I need the iTunes because of its homesharing function... iTunes server on the EX490 is not enough.

Now Twonkie Media. I have 40000 songs, 30000 photo's and 500 video's... When I share photo and video, all OK! When I enable music sharing (need it for web streaming and DLNA) the twonkie takes 100% cpu for the future until I kill the process (last night, 15 hours 100%...).

What are my options? I need the iTunes but I need an additional UPNP streamer!

PLEASE ADVICE...

thanks

You just need to let it run until it's done building it's database. With over 70,000 items, it may take a day or 2.

"everything will be ok in the end. if it's not ok, it's not the end" - unknown

OK I'll do that.
Keep you updated.

I have the same problem - only it is a clean server with no media on. Rebuilding the twonky database either keeps on going (for several days until i kill the process) or it crashes with error.

And I don't even have iTunes installed...

Any ideas?

Meanwhile my twonkie has restarted rebuilding its database... for 28 hours now.
I already saw - when i get connected (100% cpu) - that the 'media server' now shows 0 music, 0 picitures and 0 video. Yeserday it said 40000, 30000 and 700 or so....

At this very moment I can't even connect... 'time out'...

What is going on???

From the top of my head...
1) try disabling built-in iTunes server in MSS, it may have conflict of interests with iTunes application.
2) close iTunes app and let Twonky build its DB, then restart iTunes app.

Best regards,
