Does this have a mac address? I was going to filter my network so that only the computers etc that I specify can connect but I can't find if this has a mac addres and how to find it? I don't want to end up blocking it from the system.

Also it is not waking my windows vista up to backup the files and I do have it set to wake it? I'm not sure what else to do?

Thanks a bunch for the help

All network cards have a MAC address. You'll have to remote desktop in, go to start, run, type CMD. At the prompt, type "ipconfig /all". It should show up in there.

If you have Norton Internet Security the Network map will have a mac address for the HPServer.

in CMD from the pc, type arp -a and the server's MAC will be listed there

You may have to set the bios in the Vista machine to Wake-on-Lan.  I don't have WHS, but just a thought.
