Hi there...looks like the 490 is available on the hp.co.uk website. Not sure why the 495 is not listed yet though?

I was all set to purchase a 485 an bite the bullet on shipping etc, now with 3 releases of MSHS in a short time i might aswell just wait and get the latest!?
Anyone have any idea if and when the 495 is is likely to be available anywhere close to here (i live in the IOM so Ireland/UK would be preferable)
Anyone any news?

strange! normally i'd just go and buy the 490 as in previous versions there wasn't many differences but thats not the case with this line i believe?

From what I've read somewhere, HP is gonna lead with the 490 first and then some time in the future release the 495...seems crazy to me.

Not sure if this helps but I ordered an ex490 from Amazon here in the UK and it arrived 2 days later!
I had it on my wish list and just happened to be checking it when it showed as available. it actually came from extremepcsuk.
Project for this weekend is too set it up and replace my 470!

cheers for the info, i might just end up doing that as i dont think i can wait much longer.
Looking at the reviews though the 495 has all the extras i think i'd benefit, ie the faster processor!! and higher storage drive to being with.
anyone know of a place where i can order the 495 that delivers to the uk/iom?

I don't think the 495 is being released in the UK unfortunately. To be honest, the only difference seems to be the processor (the processor in the 490 is quick enough for me and if not, you can always buy a new processor) and the extra 500gb.
If you use a cashback site like quidco, you can get 10% cashback from the HP site and if you google (or look on hotukdeals), you can get a 10% off coupon meaning you can get a 490 for around £356. I ordered one last week (should ship Monday hopefully).
