My HP Update software tells me that there's an update to my Mediasmart Server software. I proceeded with the update but once I get to the point where it asks me my user name and password, I put in my admin user name and password but it wont take it. I've even reset it using WHS Console and still no go. I know HP doesn't support this, but just to varify I successfully logged in via Remote Desktop with the user name and password and it works fine. But for whatever reason it won't let me install the patch because it wont accept my credentials.

Now a few minutes ago, I noticed that my current software version is 2.5.10.27311 - 4/23/2009 and the patch on the HP Update application is 2.5.10.26972... it's an older version, so what gives?

this patch is not applicable to your server. Your software version of 2.5.10.27311 is up-to-date....nothing to worry about there
