Judging by the current numbers, I'd say you voted 10 times.
This is a real hard one, since there are a number of great improvements. Can I list them in order of importance? LOL, since I do not use Media Collector, or web streaming, here are my picks in order of importance:
1. Enhanced Home Server Console (I am all about the GUI)
2. Support for eSATA multipliers (why take this away from the EX48*?)
3. Better Mac integration
With the Mac integration, I don't really mind using the OSX disc for OS recovery and then using Time Machine to return user profile info to "normal." And the EX47* update offered by HP includes a Mac MSS console. My Mac users (wife and daughter) have no interest in RDPing to the server.
EX470, 2 GB RAM, 2x500GB, 1x2TB, pooled and a homebuilt WHS
Dell Inspiron 1545, 4GB RAM, Win7 Home Prem x64
Macbook 13"
Homebuilt AMD Phenom BlackX4 8GB RAM, Windows Vista Ultimate x64, 250 GB system, 1 TB RAID 0 data
I voted for the enhanced console, but, the return of the port multiplier is a big deal (though not necessary for me just yet). Mac integration is a great thing too, though I'm not currently making use of it; it shows HP is really thinking on their feet with this product. Kudos to their engineers.
I do stream to a media extender, but I don't think the bundled Twonky server is really ready for prime time yet --I'd rather have seen HP go with another solution (e.g., TVersity, or something from Sage). I've had to use another program to do my streaming for now.
Everyone gets everything he wants. Me, I wanted to be a sysadmin. And for my sins --they made me one.
