Try the PS3 Media Server for WHS:

It works perfectly for me, though I have the EX485.
Does TwonkyMedia not work for you? That's an alternative that's also worked for me.

Hi, I have tried to find a good way to play back my movies from the HP server from the PS3. To me it looks like its not just "plug'n play". I can see the phumbnails, but the movie will not start.
I guess that I'm not the first person who is having problems with this, and hopeing that can point me in the right direction for some hint and tips.

Twonky should work (and if your server is up to date, should already be present on your server), but I don't believe is was enabled/installed by default on the 470 since it was an update after the fact. You'd need to install the add-in in the console.
Also, if you have a lot of media on your server, installing Twonky could slow it down for a few hours to a few days while it indexes for the first time, but it's only temporary.

Also make sure the format you are trying to play is supported on the PS3.
