Maybe something is incompatible between your server and your Nokia phone. The protocol used for Nokia is based on their Symbian OS, but you have to download and install an update for your server in order to support Symbian. I have a HTC smart phone bought from HTC Evo parts, and in order to access Internet and my server I had to install an add-on for my HTC software, maybe this can solve your problem too.
I have a HP Media Smart server, and recently purchased a nice new shiny Nokia N97.
I have been trying to get the N97 to communicate with my server (which holds all my medai....music, photo's, video's). Unfortunately - my attempts to date have been unsuccessful. I have looked through the apps and connectivity options, and cannot see any way of connecting.
I have also tried using remote connectivity via the HPatHome web site - but when I try to load my servers web page on the phone - I get an error - and it wont load.
Does anyone know how I can achieve connectivty. USB is obviously an option - but I want remote access (surprise surprise).
I can see some kind of utility developed for the iPhone called iStream? But this only seems to work with the iPhone, and also the newer version of the HP Media Smart (EX485?). I have the EX475.
Thanks!
