I recieved the same error message. I'm able to access remotely with my PC but not via Iphone. Could this possibly be an issue with the new Iphone OS?

I dont think so --- i recieved this error long before iphone 3.0 was out...

Evan is correct - ensure that the TwonkyMedia server is installed and enabled and that should correct your problem, assuming there are no other issues.

See my posts on this thread here... I was experiencing the same issue:

OK --- through MUCH trial and error and some help from tech support I finally figured this out last night --- it is a simple fix if you are getting the invalid data error when trying to connect in istream. When you enter the domain into istream in the settings section do not include http://www or even www. example, if your domain is http://www.johns.hpshare.net then you would only enter johns.hpshare.net when you are trying to connect to your server when you are not connected to WiFi at your own network. If you are connected to WiFi through your local network you only need to enter the name of your server as the domain name. Example: hpserver.

I hope this helps some of you -- I had given up on using istream but this worked for me and it is a great benefit to the server!!

Enjoy!
