Hello guys!
I just found back my old EX470 and would like to play with it again. The problem is I changed my laptop and can't find the old installation CD so I am not able to install HP Mediasmart Control Center on my new laptop.
Is there any place on the Internet where I can download the installation files of the Control Center ? I browsed HP website but can't find it.. Any idea or suggestion where I should search ?

If your referring to the connector software then from your laptop open your browser and go to http://servername:55000 and you should see a link to download the files from your server. Or you can use explorer and navigate to the server and look for the shared folder called Software, in there should be a folder called Home Server Connector Software,copy that to your laptop and execute.

I have another problem now... I can't remember the password I used in 2008 ;) and the indication doesn't help.. What are my options ? A factory reset of the server ?
Sorry, I don't have an answer for the password. Don't do a Factory Reset, it will format and delete EVERYTHING, ALL DATA WILL BE LOST. A Server Recovery will keep your data but reinstall the OS.
If you don't remember the password, did you set a hint. Use the Option drop down to see your hint.
