i just got my MSS, but the software install disc has a nice, ugly scratch that's preventing it from being read by any computer i have.  i've been unable to find it available for download anywhere... any help possible before i have to sit on hold with HP?

 thank you!!

I'm sort of in the same situation. I lost my client installation disc and can't find the files anywhere for download.  Any help?

The client software should be available on the server. Just navigate to \\yourservername\software and there should be folders named "Home Server Connector Software" and "Home PC Restore CD" that has all of the software you should need.

If you have never connected any computer to the server, I do not think that the accounts will be set up so you are probably correct. It has been awhile since I have done the initial install.

I would post or search over at http://mediasmartserver.net/forums/ Those forums are more active and there is a vast amount of knowledge there.
