Originally, my main computer had two hard drive volumes, C: and D:

My MediaSmart performed the automatic backups for about a week just fine, but now I removed one of the volumes, D:, completely from my main system and used it for a server storage expansion.

Now when my MediaSmart attempts to automatically perform a backup of the main system, it backs up Volume C: just fine, then encounters an error when attempting to backup Volume D:, obviously since it is no longer within my system. I've looked through and attempted to remove Volume D: from the backup list with no luck.

Is there a way to set the backup settings so that it no longer looks for Volume D:? Or will I have to remove the entire PC backup from my homeserver, and start fresh?

Did you try going to the WHS Console, Computers & Backup, click on the client computer name, select configure backup which should run a wizard. There it should ask which "volumes" to back up. I suspect you can right your issue. Otherwise you can try re-installing the desktop client software, but likley will have to delete all the backups from the server for that computer.

That seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!
