What are you talking about exactly? I don't enter any info when using the console or accessing via windows explorer.

Hi,
Sure would be nice if we did not have to enter user id and password everytime I want to access. Maybe a check box to remember user id would be nice to have. Honestly the hassle has detered me many times from browsing.
Thanks,
Scott

I agree, my user id and password are saved, so I just click the "arrow" on the console to login.
Are you referring to the Admin password when entering the console? Or are you being prompted for a password to access shares?
As noted above, the Admin password for the console SHOULD be remembered. Let us know if it is not.
If the problem is accessing the shares from one or more client computer, you need to set the password for the user of that computer in the WHS/MSS to be the same as that used to log into the computer. The IDs and passwords should be identical on both ends.

Hi,
Sorry I assumed that since I posted in the Digital Media Receivers forum folks would know I was talking about the x280N...
When using the Media Connect receiver for online media services one must enter a user name and password via the remote control keyboard which is very laborious. Unless I am mistaken this step must be taken each time one wants to go into the online media services like Snapfish, Cinema Now etc. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott
You only need to Login ONCE! The Login info is cached for at least 30 days. If you login once, the next time you go to Online Media you should Login automatically and see a message to the left "Welcome xxxx"
Login Info is lost only if you do a reset to factory default.
