Hi - can you please let me know if it is possible to completely disable the scheduled backup from occuring on a PC with HP Mediasmart Server installed?  Failing that, how about making it once a month, or a similar lengthy period?

Thanks

Go into the console and then to the "Computers and Backup" tab. Select the computer you do not want backed up and RIGHT-click on it. Then select "Turn Off Backups" (the last selection choice). It's that simple.

I believe it is a daily schedule only in Settings-->Backup. You can select the time period but not anything further. (If someone knows how to select specific days, etc., I would love to hear about it!) There are also some backup settings available through the WHS Toolkit Add-In, but not for this. The task is not in the Task Scheduler either -- I've checked!

You could turn the backups off and then manually run a backup monthly (or whatever). That option is on the same right-click menu.
