You don't really need to Install ANY s/w to use your TV. The installation CD just makes sure you have the latest version of WMP and installs the now obsolete Rhapsody Upnp server. It also guides to to login to on-line services.

Simply make sure you have the latest version of WMp11 on your PC. If your PC still can't see it; make sure

a) Both the TV and the PC are on the same subnet (can you ping the TV's IP from the PC?)

b) The PC does not run more than one Lan i/f  at the same time (say wireless+wired), sometimes it confuses WMP11
