HP Media Connect - strange all videos behavior

Is anyone seeing the following odd behavior on their MediaSmart Connect where the Genre view is acting pretty wacky/useless (details below):

Videos -> All Videos -- the movie Jumper shows up and will play

BUT....

Videos -> Genre

Problem 1:
   - it contains    - ALL -
   - and it contains    All Videos
   - and it contains Folder
   - And it contains Jumper

>> So
    a) Why is there All and All Videos
    b) Neither folder has anything in it
    c) 'Folder' also has nothing in it
    d) and it also thinks 'Jumper' is a folder and it has nothing in it

Problem 2
The Movie is on my pc, shared by wmp11
It is an mpeg (converted from vobs)
And in wmp11 I set the genre to Action

UPDATE...

I figured out the issue of why the genre wasn't working from wpm11.
It seems that

1. If I drag a movie into the library (i.e. straight into wmp11's library>allvideos) and set its genre that it will not work.

2. If I drag the movie into a directory that I told wmp11 to 'watch' then it works. Genre shows up and so on.

I also removed he mediasmart home server connection and the two
free All and ALl Videos went away. I have no such directories on MSS
so its still a mystery but I'll keep poking about.
