Brand new HP EX470 with 2 1TB Seagate drives and upgraded to 2GB of RAM.

Logged into the server this evening to get a "Low Disk Space" warning on the C: drive.

Sure enough, there is 0MB free out of 20GB.

Go fishing around and find this file, chkdsk_C_.log, taking up 15+ GB of space. Surprised

It is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Home Server\logs

Anyone know what this is and why it grew so large?

I've only had this device for 4 days and only currently have 150GB of media on it so far.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have PP1 and HP's update installed?

Yes, I did all the updates to the HP MediaSmart server prior to upgrading the RAM and installing the additional drives.

As if by some miracle, the space has magically cleared up and I now have 15.1GB of free space.

Very very strange. I'd still like to know why it filled up in the first place.
