Hello All,

I purchased the WHS and so far so go interms of usage.

Problem:
Unable to connect to the media stream.
Using PVConnect.
Everything seem to be configured correctly which you can see in the screenshot I added.

I don't have a PS3 or xBox so I'm using my PC to test the PVconnect streaming.
tried MS Media player and VLC player with no success. Keeps getting the message, "unable to connect to http://192.168.0.101"
WHS static ip address-192.168.0.101

WHS is up to date interms of PP1 and hp upgrade.

Side note,  I can open up a divx file located on WHS by normal chennel using VLC,  File-> file Open, browing to the location of the divx file and open.

Any ideas??

Is the streaming Started as I can see in the image that it has not be started, hopefully that all it is. Have you tried restarting your server to see if that corrected the problem, have you allowed the server ip to be trusted in any firewall program installed onto your pc.

Hey Friend,

After fighting with windows media player and WHS, the problem seems to be with Windows media player for some reason..It doesn't seem to see the media stream or the  broadcast from WHS.

In my many searches i came across a file called On2share which you can read about it at http://www.on2share.com/UPnP/  seem to help windos media player see the divix files. Now a new problem, windows media player can see the files but wont play the file(divix).

So,Its not the WHS.
problem is with windows media player.
I'm not an expert so i'm going to assume WMP doesn't support UPnP.
