I too have been looking everywhere to figure out the same thing. The best I could find was from HP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01212953&lc=en&cc=us&dlc...
I'm still not sure if this won't wipe out everything I have and am a bit leery to try it. If you give it a whirl let me know how it works for you :)

I currently have 3 Seagate Barracuda 1TB Raid drives and an original 500GB Seagate (as System Drive) in my EX475. Now I also want to replace the 500GB System Drive with a 1TB Raid Drive. Both MS PP1 and HP Update are already installed.
I have the new Microsoft PP1 System Restore CD, but can I actually use it after replacing the System Drive without first using the HP Restore CD? Or do I need to install some initial/basic HP Media Smart Software on the new system drive? Should I just use the "old" HP Restore CD"and then reaply PP1? Would that not corrupt the data on the 3 existing Data Drives?
What am I to use now. Will HP issue an "updated" Restore CD anytime soon, which could be used for this scenario?
Any advice? This is already my second attempt on getting some expert advice on this issue - so please forgive me give the repetition. Thanks
