Does anyone have an news on PP1?  Are they going to wait till the one year anniversary of the WHS to release it?  I am really surprised how long it has taken to release a fix.

Personally, I prefer that they take their time and get it right. In the meantime, the beta is stable and available to all who require the new functionality and the problem fixes.

Actually is not good...

Since HP will update the same time microsoft does, me and some friends, are not able to use Photo Webshare. (a bug HP support told is aware that doesn't allow you to create visitors from brand new Media server).

We don't have a work around since HP said it only will give new updates the same time microsoft does...

Sorry, the thread is entitled "PP1" and the only reference in the text is to WHS so I responded in the PP1 context.

I agree that the HP software is lacking and that the HP decision to wait for PP1 is impacting a number of users -- me included!

Just to let you know -- HP carefully examined its release options, and made plans based on the best interests of the MediaSmart Server user community. Obviously, I can't share the details, but please trust that your best interests were, and always will be, the primary driver when HP makes decisions such as this.

So, according to the link, we have to uninstall PP1 beta first. Oops :D

To apply this update, you must have Windows Home Server installed. If you have a beta version or a release candidate version of Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 installed, you must uninstall these preliminary versions before you install this final version of Windows Home Server Power Pack 1.

Thanks MS for PP1 and HP for the new add-ins!  Now we can really enjoy our WHS.  Cool
