Hi nmpcrazy,

We have a link to the user manual in the resources section on this page: http://www.mediasmarthome.com/category/2/HP-MediaSmart-Server

Matt,

I was probably not clear in that I am looking for the users manual for the HP MediaSmart Connect and not the home server. I realize that the Connect is not going to even ship for nearly a month but browsing the user manual could help me answer a lot of questions.

Thanks just the same!

Oh, oops. Didn't read your question close enough. I was just poking around on the HP site and their demo site and couldn't find a manual either. I'll let you know when I get a link for it though. :-)

I am sure it will show up pretty soon in the HP support web site (www.hp.com/support/mediasmart ).

Meanwhile, I would read the manual (only the MediaSmart section of course) of the SL4282N  or SL4782N MediaSmart TV.

Outside of the support for external USB-based mass storage devices and 720p or 1080i output the rest of the functionality on the Connect should be pretty much the same as the TV.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will give it a go!
