Sorry to read that you were not aware there is no Windows 2000 support.  I know of no method to install the connector on Windows 2000. 

Even if you were able to install it, the Windows Home Server backup utility would not be able to backup your computer because it does not recognize Windows 2000 computers. You can still use the MediaSmart Server as a file share to the Windows 2000 system.
