The itunes server that HP use is a free app called firefly and only seerver up music. Not sure if its only m usic you rip yourself.
I just installed itunes directly onto the server and use it that way. and turned off the firefly implementation. Now im serving up my music, tv shows and films to any devices that connect as long as they are authorised (max 5 )

I enabled the ITUNES media library sharing, however when I bought a song on ITUNES on one of my PC's it is not showing up in the library............
I have the server set to look for new songs every day and it has been several days and it will still not show up. I made sure also that ITUNES is set to share the media as well.
Lastly are the movies I bought on ITUNES supposed to show as well?
I read somewhere that only the music you converted yourself will show up in the shared librrary and not the stuff you bought on ITUNES because of DRM is this true?

this will give you the info on how to do it. youo need an add in called program launcher.
but first download itunes and move it over to your WHS software folder, then you can use a remote connection to the WHS to install. then once thats done run it through your console when you log into your WHS using the connector software.
However BEWARE there is currently a data corruption bug thats is needing addressed (hopefully next month). If your data on the WHs is accessed by some external programs it can cause corruption, itunes is on that list.
I dont use itunes on the WHS to alter any of the content so far, prepare it all on the workstation then transfer it over with windows explorer, Then import it into itunes on the WHS
Not sure what your MSS configuration is, but the Data Corruption bug should not be a problem if your MSS has only a single disk drive...

Ive got 2 500gb drives currently, soon to be upgraded with 2 more 1TB drives. I need the space
then the bug will get you......
Just messing with you....I have 4 1 TB drives and have been lucky not to get hit my the bug...I stream to my APPLETVs and XBOX 360's with over 300 movies and no problem...I also modify all my files directly on my MSS...using word, excel, database programs, etc,
I do have a big time backup plan that includes several versions of all files...since for some reason he SHADOWING feature in the MSS was disabled.....but that s another story that I can go on ,,,,and on.....and on,..
I'm having the same issue with my new music not showing up on the server. It worked for the first week, but I don't see any music I've ripped or downloaded since then.
