HP please fix this annoying error... It has happened to allot of us and the only solution is a restore!

Some kind of patch file that puts the console back would be quicker and easier for us customers.

I'd like to second this request. I get this same error every time I start the Home Server. It's very reproducable and I agree that expecting us to restore from scratch is not reasonable.

Count me as the third on this one... This is THE most annoying problem I've had with a computer in a long time. It's so annoying that I'm really tempted to format my MSS and install a normal OEM copy of the WHS O.S. just to get rid of all the HP add-on crap that's on it. It's despicable that HP can't fix these sort of problems quicker for its customers.

BTW, the error message is a known problem that's related to the stupid auto updater client that HP installs into the WHS consol. See the following threads for more information:
