Once you complete a "full" backup, any future backups will just be changes in the file system. This will decrease the backup time of future backups. Most likely when you stopped the initial backup, WHS either restarted from the beginning or just took a little longer due too a compare of changes before continuing. All futher backups will be much quicker.

I started a back up of my laptop at work, but I had to go home before it finished so I had to disconnect the computer. When I came back in the morning and tried again, it seemed to start the backup over again from scratch. It also seems to be taking a little longer than it was yesterday (not for sure, just seems that way).
In any event, I was just curious if the behavior when you interrupt the initial backup was to pick up from the beginning again and if so, if it's actually not worth it to start a full backup unless you know that you have time for it to finish.
Yes, the backups after the first are MUCH faster. It's nice to have a backup solution in place that you don't have to think about and doesn't interfere with my laptop while I'm working :-)
It also makes it so much easier when upgrading hard drives. i just upgraded a couple of hard drives in a couple of PCs. All I needed to do was insert the PC restore disc and did a restore to the new drive. It worked perfectly. My MSS has made so many things much easier than in the past. And backups are one of them since in the past I never made regular backups like I should have.
