Paul Thurrott gives us his opinion on WHS 2011 and Windows Server 2012 Essentials and why he thinks average consumers or very small businesses will not flock to Microsoft's latest solution:

...I don't think average consumers or very small businesses will flock to this solution any more than they did to WHS. Though inexpensive by Windows Server standards (about $450 per license), it's a lot more expensive than WHS, which can be had for under $100 these days. Frankly, we've reached the point where even a super-simple Server might simply be too much.
