Are you frustrated with McAfee renewal notifications?

Me, too.

 I spoke with one of our McAfee contacts regarding the frequent and frustrating renewal notifications we have been getting on our MediaSmart Servers.  After working through the McAfee team, I have now been asked by McAfee to let you know that:

"Mcafee understands their frustration and apologizes for the notifications -- the users won't be getting any renewal emails in the near future."

 They also asked me to let you know that they hope you will take advantage of the 7 month trial, and that McAfee is "dedicated to making this a seamless solution."

Thanks for responding and addressing this situation, McAfee!

That is nonesense. I received another on the 26th August and this in spite of me logging in to their control centre and changing my email address

Thanks for letting my know, Phil. I will ping the my McAfee contact and let him know that the notifications are still going out to some users.

Mine seem to have stopped. Anybody else?

I only received one a few weeks ago. They just released an update today, fixing the scheduling option. It installed fine :D.

Was wondering if you have any idea as to the process to "renew" the Mcafee software? I paid for it, but now, cannot get the new software onto the server (as a .msi file in the add-in folder). Their website implies that the renewal process is easy, but it gives zero details about how to install this on the mediasmart server.

Just thought I would see if you have any success, before I ask mcafee for a refund.

I don't know of anyone who actually uses it. I uninstalled mine months ago. I never did buy it, so I have no idea. But, this isn't the first post I saw with someone having trouble after they actually bought it.
